 A. Discussion on the enhanced graduate courses.

• What is the definition of an enhanced course?
• What constitutes a graduate course?
• We should look at the MALL program.
• We need to have requirements that serve individual programs and not try to service each program with one set of retirements that may or may not apply to the.
• Should we be telling teachers what should be taught in their classes?
• Should we have a policy that we can refer to when there are questions?

Conclusions

1. Ken and Jim will rewrite statement b in the catalogue.
2. Put on the agenda for the next meeting: what should be the compensation for enhanced courses instructors teach? Come back with ideas for what is reasonable.

B .Should Thesis defense meetings be open.

Consensus of the group was that at the masters level, defenses are closed .
