How would an O2 evolution curve appear if the light-dependent reactions were "uncoupled" from the light-independent reactions?

We would expect curve 'A' because in this system O2 evolution would begin without a lag period. You will recall that the lag period results from the time required for the metabolite pools of the stroma to increase, but in these purified thylakoids, the light-dependent reactions proceed uncoupled from the light-independent reactions and metabolite pools are not a factor.
