When did you know Marietta College was the right school for you?
I visited when I was in first grade. I was impressed by the campus, and by the fact that you could eat ice cream any time the dining hall was open. I remember this moment vividly and will never forget it. I knew (for real) my junior year of high school, when I was accepted via early enrollment, that I would attend. I love the area and I have family in Marietta. It just made sense.
Favorite Marietta moment?
Co-founding, planning and throwing the inaugural “Delt Rave” with my roommate at Delta Tau Delta fraternity house. Daily lunch with friends in Gilman Express will always have a special place in my heart as well.
Describe what life was like during your time at Marietta College.
Relaxed. The campus is so small and picturesque; it was hard to not be in a good mood in such a wonderful environment. Aside from when I had my headphones on in the library, doing homework, I was almost always with friends or making new ones. Marietta College attracts incredible people and I am a very social person.
What impact did Marietta College have on your career?
Marietta College put me in a comfortable environment; which provided me the opportunity to build my social skills. I believe a strong personality and excellent social skills are the foundation for success in life. I developed these skills at Marietta College and I will carry them with me for the rest of my life.
What does it mean to be a Pioneer?
Hard-working individuals who constantly strive to challenge and better themselves. Pioneers are always moving forward.
