Alumni Feature 1

Office of Alumni Relations and Alumni Association

On July 28, 1841, a small group of alumni gathered in the Marietta College campus chapel and formed a three-person committee to organize an association of graduates. Erastus Adkins presided over this no-nonsense session and Samuel Hall was chosen to act as secretary.

And, oh yes, they demanded that a constitution be presented in less than twenty-four hours!

Typical Marietta College graduates, they met the deadline and on July 29, 1841, the Marietta College Alumni Association was officially formed.

Today, facilitated by the College’s Office of Alumni Relations, the MCAA carries on the work set in motion almost 170 years ago and serves the interests of more than 25,000 living members of The Long Blue Line!

Student Alumni Association

The Student Alumni Association (SAA) works to create greater understanding and appreciation among undergraduate students of the benefit to forging a lifelong connection with their alma mater. Through a variety of different activities and programs, the SAA not only reaches out to fellow students, but also facilitates interaction with alumni to further underscore the satisfaction and reward that comes from lifelong involvement with Marietta College.
