Hub Burton brings more than 20 years of communications, marketing and public relations experience to the Office of Alumni Relations. As an information specialist and assistant news director at the University of Maine and as associate vice president for communications and marketing at Ohio University, he has developed and implemented significant outreach campaigns to alumni, prospective students, the media and community audiences. His programs have included the development of print publications, web sites, radio and television productions, sports networks and broadcasts, media relations and satellite communications.

Prior to entering higher education, Hub pursued a sportscasting career in Arizona, North Carolina and Massachusetts covering everything from the Final Four to the World Series, Super Bowl and Stanley Cup Playoffs. A 1976 graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV production, Hub completed his master’s in journalism at Ohio University in 2001.

His outside interests include the activities of his twin son and daughter as well as journalism history. Hub and his wife, Kelli, reside in Pickerington.

Ann Foraker, who has earned two degrees at Marietta College, is the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at her alma mater.

Foraker focuses her efforts on planning alumni events at the College and around the region, as well as providing support at annual gatherings such as Homecoming and Family Weekend. She also has the responsibility of developing an alumni services program designed to create value added opportunities for MC graduates.

Foraker, who has a broad range of experience, was most recently working in the College's Office of Admission. She managed and recruited prospective students from West Virginia, Indiana and western Pennsylvania during the 2005-06 academic year.

She also gained valuable experience as the Parkersburg News & Sentinel Half Marathon coordinator for two years and as an intern with the Marietta Memorial Hospital Health Foundation.

Foraker, who graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising, was extremely active during her four years on Marietta's campus. She was a member of the Marietta crew, a student assistant in the Advancement Office, an advertising sales representative for the student newspaper and an orientation leader for both international students and the McDonough Leadership Program.

Foraker also earned a Master of Corporate Media from Marietta in 2005. She resides in Marietta.

Ms. Canaday joined Marietta College in 2000. Prior to her work at Marietta, she held positions with Ohio University Libraries’ Reference and Southeast Asia Collection Departments, as Resource Center Coordinator for the Ohio Department of Aging, and as a library specialist for OCLC, Inc.

Ms. Canaday resides in Fleming, Ohio, with her husband, Marc, and their two children, Emily, a high-school senior, and Daniel, a physics/math major at The Ohio State University

Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with concentrated areas in Organizational Communication and Public Advocacy, Certificate in Global Leadership, Ohio University 2011.

Sarah Kelly, a graduate of Ohio University joined the Marietta team in September of 2011. Kelly is the Assistant Director of Chapter and Young Alumni Programs. She provides events and services to the young alumni community to create and continue relationships after graduation. Kelly works with the Alumni Relations staff, Advancement and campus partners to continue the growth of Marietta College Alumni.

Kelly, a proud recent Ohio University graduate was active during her college career. She was President of the Student Alumni Board and worked closely with the Ohio University Alumni Association. She was also an Ohio University Tour Guide for four years and participated in the Global Leadership Center, gaining an international leadership perspective. She was awarded the Edwin L. Kennedy Leadership Award for Outstanding Community Service (2010), the Pepsi Ohio University Campus Leadership Scholarship (2010) and the Outstanding Senior Leader Award (2011). Kelly also spoke at her commencement ceremony as the student speaker; she quotes this to be, "a truly humbling experience."

Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is from Hudson, Ohio and currently lives in Marietta, Ohio.
