YOU Are the Marietta Fund: Gloria Stewart, Chair of the 2011-12 Faculty and Staff Drive
When Dr. Gloria Stewart was asked to chair the Marietta Fund's Faculty and Staff Drive for 2011-12, she said the timing was perfect.
"It is an honor. This academic year is especially important for Marietta College because of the retirement of Dr. Jean Scott," said Stewart, Director of the Physician Assistant Program. "Dr. Scott is passionate about history and how history effects the lives of individuals. During Dr. Scott's tenure at Marietta College she has enriched forever the history of this institution by increasing the quality of the Marietta College education, leading the College through three strategic plans and providing the leadership to the ever-changing physical face of the College with the many building and improvement projects. I would like to encourage all faculty and staff to consider participation in the Marietta Fund in support of the legacy of Dr. Jean Scott."
Due to President Scott's remarkable vision and unwavering commitment to raise Marietta College to new levels of distinction, the 2011-12 Faculty and Staff Drive is dedicated to her honor. The annual faculty and staff drive will kick off at All-Staff Convocation on Aug. 24.
The annual Faculty and Staff Drive promotes faculty and staff philanthropy and helps to lay the groundwork for a culture of giving across the Marietta College campus. The Faculty and Staff Drive is an important part of this year's $1.7 million overall Marietta Fund campaign.

The Marietta College Faculty and Staff Drive is an initiative to promote faculty and staff philanthropy and is based on the idea that the future success of the College must begin at home.
