The Legacy Society was established to recognize those individuals who envision the future of Marietta College by remembering the institution in their estate plans. In fact, Israel Ward Andrews and Daniel Fayerweather would have been members of this prestigious society, as would Cornelius B. Erwin and Professor Milo P. Jewett.

What is a Planned Gift?

Donors are included in the Legacy Society by documenting one of a number of planned gifts, which include bequests, gifts of retirement plans, real estate, retained life estates, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable lead trusts, among others.

As with all gifts that benefit Marietta College, donors may choose to remain anonymous or to be celebrated publicly. Legacy Society donors are recognized throughout the year at special events, in College publications, and in periodic mailings.
