
Marietta College Parent and Family Organization
During the past few years Marietta College, like most others throughout the United States, has seen an increase in parent involvement in the lives of their students. Often motivated by the investment they are making in their child’s education, this generation of parents have been very active with their child in elementary, middle and high school and are not yet ready to step back. In many cases it’s not just the parents, students want their parents involved as well.
Recognizing this growing phenomenon, we understand that it is important for the College to view parents and family members as partners. One way to do that is through the Marietta Parent and Family Organization, where ALL parents are members. Beyond membership, parents can also get involved by serving on one of several standing committees or volunteering to assist at any number of events.
It is our belief that the Parent and Family Organization, coupled with a new "Parent" section on our website, will greatly improve the communication between the College and parents and families.
