Center for Health and Wellness

The Dr. J. Michael Harding Center for Health and Wellness (CHW) is an integrated wellness center offering services in three areas: Health Services, Counseling & Psychological Services and Sexual Assault Prevention. The facility is located in Harrison Hall. Our mission is to provide high quality medical and psychological services as to achieve and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle for each student and to create a learning environment that supports that status.

As such, we have specific goals which guide our work:

  • Provide high quality psychological and medical services to students in need.
  • Provide primary prevention programming and consultation to students, faculty and staff that aims to facilitate healthy development and psychological functioning of students and systems
  • Ensure that the services we provide are vital, current and ethical

Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential and no information is released to anyone without your permission. The obvious exceptions to confidentiality include cases that involve imminent harm and danger to you or to others. To make an appointment, call during office hours. In emergency situations, students generally can be seen almost immediately.

Dr. Limegrover is the Director for the Dr. J. Michael Harding Center for Health and Wellness (CHW). He brings a wealth of experience in college counseling, including strong interests in graduate and undergraduate instruction (e.g., courses in counseling theory, developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, etc.) and health behavior change research. Dr. Limegrover's clinical interests focus on interpersonal psychotherapies, including object relations, and cognitive behavioral approaches in individual, group, family and couples modes of treatment. His current interests involve applications of those approaches to multicultural treatment and education. Dr. Limegrover has additional training and proficiency in relationship and couples concerns, depression, self-injury and substance abuse.

From 2005-11, Limegrover was a staff therapist and the Coordinator of Substance Abuse Services at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He joined Marietta College in June of 2012. At Marietta, he is directly responsible for the administrative direction and management of the Center for Health and Wellness (CHW) serving 1,500 undergraduate students.

Other interests include spending time with his wife and two children, travel (especially to the beach), social justice and sports.

I am currently employed as the Staff Nurse at the Dr. Michael J. Harding Center for Health and Wellness at Marietta College in Marietta Ohio. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing at Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV, in 1989. I have or had RN licenses in the State of West Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado. I have over 20 years of experience in a variety of nursing specialties, most recently in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Newborn Nursery, and Med-Surg. My employment history includes positions held at Duke University Medical Center, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and Mercy Medical Center. I am married and have three children and reside in Washington, WV. Some of my interests include knitting and gardening.

Karrie provides counseling services to students on a variety of issues, including stress, homesickness, depression, anxiety and substance abuse problems. She also serves as the coordinator for drug and alcohol education and prevention.

In her spare time Karrie enjoys traveling (especially to the beach), gardening and is an avid Nascar fan as well as a Packer's fan.

Lisa serves as the Administrative Assistant at the Dr. J. Michael Harding Center for Health & Wellness. She is responsible for scheduling students for appointments with the medical and/or counseling staff. She also coordinates the day to day office functions. Lisa was born and raised in Marietta. She also attended WVU-P.

Lisa has 14 years of extended medical background, having worked at area hospitals, physician offices and a clinic.

Lisa, her husband Darren, and their four boys – Daniel Scott, Kyle Brooker, Jacob Scott, & Devin Brooker reside outside of Chesterhill on a 75 acre farm.
