Doug Griebel Bob Hauser

Douglas (Doug) Griebel
Class of 1974


Mr. Griebel is the President-Partner of Rosa Mexicano Hospitality Group, Inc., a company that owns restaurants in New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Palm Beach, Florida. He is a charter member of the MC Athletic Founders Board. Mr. Griebel has served on MAAP, Volunteer Weekend Board/Council, and as a class agent. He is a member of National Restaurant Association and President of New York State Restaurant Association (Manhattan Chapter).

Mr. Griebel is a member and Vice Chairman of the Community Board No. 7, and President of the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District and member of the Lincoln Center BID, and the Westside YMCA. He and his wife, Sandra Colosimo Griebel, live in New York City with their son, Jack.

Robert (Bob) Hauser
Class of 1971


Mr. Hauser earned four varsity letters in football at Marietta, and was the Dutch White Award winner and co-captain of the 1970 team. He was also a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. Upon graduation, he began a 25-year sales career with Procter & Gamble. Mr. Hauser spent several years developing P&G’s overall strategy and leading it through the reorganization of its health care customer effort. He was Director of P&G’s health care business when he left in 1996 to start his own sales and marketing outsourcing company, OnCall. In 1999, he sold OnCall to Grey Communications, at the time one of the world’s 10 largest communications companies. Mr. Hauser continues to work with OnCall today in an advisory/consultant capacity.

Mr. Hauser is a principal in several other businesses, including the Queen City Restaurant Group, which operates six restaurants in the greater Cincinnati area, and Lantrust, a real estate development company. He met his wife of 34 years, Joan (Tucker), at Marietta College. They have a daughter, Bethany, who is currently a "firstie" (senior) at West Point. He has always been active in community work, among numerous activities served for 10 years on the Board of the Sycamore (Ohio) Baseball/Softball Youth Association, and currently serves as President of the West Point Parents’ Club of Greater Cincinnati.

Nancy Putnam Hollister Dan Jones

Ms. Hollister attended Kent State University and is the former Ohio House Representative from the 93rd District (Washington, Noble, Guernsey, Monroe, and Muskingum counties). Upon the election of Gov. George Voinovich to the U.S. Senate, she became the interim Ohio Governor, in late 1998 and early 1999, becoming the first woman to hold that position.

Mrs. Hollister was formerly Ohio's Lieutenant Governor, Director of the Governor's Office of Appalachia, President of the Ohio Municipal League, Mayor of the City of Marietta and a member of Marietta City Council. She and husband, Jeff Hollister, live in Marietta and have five children.

Daniel (Dan) Jones
Class of 1965

Mr. Jones held various sales rep positions with the Hobart Brothers Company, and the Industrial Lift Truck Co. in the Philadelphia area following graduation from MC. In 1971, he became the Director of Alumni Affairs for Marietta College and in 1976 was named the Director of Admission.

After 15 years at Marietta College, Mr. Jones became the Director of Admission at Maine Maritime Academy, where he spent the next 18 years, eventually becoming the college’s Dean of Students. His management responsibilities at MMA included admission, marketing, financial aid, housing, dining services, health/counseling services, bookstore operations, public relations, and summer conferences.

Mr. Jones is currently a realtor for First City GMAC Real Estate. He and his wife, Jane, reside in Marietta, Ohio, and have four children.

Tim Maroney

John B. Langel
Class of 1970

Mr. Langel earned his J.D. from Temple University in 1974. A partner with Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, his practice focuses primarily on the representation of employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. Before joining the firm in 1975, he was a law clerk for the Honorable Daniel H. Huyett, III in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Langel is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Committee and a past Chairman and a member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section. He and his wife, Jacquelyn Langel (Class of 1970), reside in Moorestown, N.J. They have two children.

Timothy (Tim) Maroney
Class of 1968

Mr. Maroney earned his M.B.A. from Western New England College in 1983. He currently serves as a Partner in the advertising firm of Watson Earl & Partners in New York, and recently launched his own e-commerce web site, www.pinehurstgolfstore.com.

Mr. Maroney also serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity in Rockland County, New York. Formerly served on the Board of Directors, Massachusetts Chapter of the March of Dimes, and was Chair of Boston WalkAmerica for five years, and Member of the Board of Trustees of Longwood Symphony Orchestra in Boston.

He and his wife, Marian Palmer Maroney (Class of 1968) reside in New City, N.Y., and have two children and six grandchildren.

Brent McCurdy

Mr. McCurdy is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Ohio, Indiana and South Carolina. He retired in June 2005 as Partner of the Indianapolis office of Ernst & Young LLP where he was responsible for the real estate and construction industry practice for Indiana, Kentucky and Southern Ohio. He began his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Cleveland in 1968, and later became the managing partner of the Columbus, Ohio office of Kenneth Leventhal & Company prior to its merger with Ernst & Young in 1995.

Currently, Mr. McCurdy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the State CPA Societies of South Carolina, Indiana and Ohio. Previously he served as Treasurer of the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimers Association, United Way, Ohio Hotel and Motel Association, and the Woodland Country Club where he was a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer.

Mr. McCurdy and his wife, Charlie, are members of the Seacoast Church, Snee Farm Country Club and the East Shore Athletic Club. They reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC and have one adult son.
