The Academic Resource Center is located on the third floor of Andrews Hall.
It is important that all students achieve their potential and, to this end, the College provides several support services and advanced academic programs, including entry in distinguished national honor societies and supervised senior research projects.

The primary mission of the ARC is to provide resources and services to assist all Marietta College students in the acquisition of information and development of skills to achieve their academic potential.
Honoraries
Honor societies provide students with an opportunity to pursue scholarship and service in the College community.
Honors Program
Dr. Matt Young, Director
The program offers two opportunities for students to pursue their academic interests:
- Curriculum Honors consists of 15 hours of coursework, taken over a three-year period, all counting toward completion of the college's general education requirements.
- Research Honors allows seniors develop a thesis under the close guidance of a member of the faculty, typically in the student's major.
Investigative Studies Program

Aimed at the College's most academically gifted and highly motivated students, the Investigative Studies Program provides:
- Summer Fellowships for undergraduates interested in pursuing special research and creative projects and
- Travel Fellowships for presentation of findings at regional and national conferences.
Marietta College students, faculty and staff joined with community members to conduct a large city-wide cleanup effort during Community Service Day 2007.
Volunteer Service Program

The Volunteer Service Program posts opportunities to participate in area community service projects and organizes annual campus-wide programs, including Community Service Day and Make a Difference Day.
Writing Center

The Writing Center provides a collaborative, supportive, and instructional environment where students work closely with peer tutors to strengthen their college-level writing skills.
