Marietta Fund sees increase in dollars and donors

Thanks to increased support from the entire Marietta College community of alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff members, the 2006-07 Marietta Fund Campaign is on target to have a record-breaking year. As of December 31, 2006, the Marietta Fund reached a year-to-date total of $531,225—an increase of $40,000 over December 2005—toward the College's goal of $1.3M for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.

In addition to the dollars raised, the number of donors who have contributed this year has also increased significantly over last year's totals. We currently have 2,243 people who have made gifts to the Marietta Fund so far this year. That's an increase of 11 percent over last year.

To everyone who has committed a gift or pledge to the Marietta Fund since July 1, 2006 - thank you! Your dedication to Marietta College is an inspiration for the whole College community.
