14 students participate in Marietta's December graduation on Dec. 3

There were no diplomas or the pomp and circumstance that accompanies Marietta College's formal commencement ceremony in May.

However, 14 of the 52 fall graduates enjoyed the informal, but special ceremony at the McDonough Center Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 3. Many of the graduates participated in last May's formal ceremony, while others have chosen to officially walk during the 2006 commencement on May 20.

More than 150 Faculty, administration, family and friends honored students who completed requirements for graduation during the fall semester and they are recognized as part of Marietta College's Class of 2005.

Saturday's casual proceedings allowed for the students to publicly thank their family, friends and professors. One highlight from Saturday was the first Chinese graduate - Jia Li - of the Master of Corporate Media program.

A reception followed in the McDonough Gallery.
