Associate Professor contributes chapter to book series on Critical Food Issues

Marietta College's Dr. Eric J. Fitch, Director of the Environmental Science Program, recently wrote the chapter “Stewardship of the Land” in a new reference work on global food issues.

Critical Food Issues: Problems and State-of-the-Art Solutions Worldwide was published under the Praeger Perspectives imprint of Praeger Publishers/Greenwood/ABC-CLIO publishers. Volume 1 contains essays on Environment, Agriculture and Health Concern. Fitch’s chapter is the concluding essay in Vol. 2 Society, Culture and Ethics. He was one of 41 scholars from around the world who contributed 31 essays to the overall work.

The series was edited by Drs. Lynn Walter and Laurel E. Phoenix, respectively the chairs of Anthropology and Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and are affiliated with the Center for Food in Community and Culture.
