College adds Leadership Gift Officer in Advancement Department

Mary Ann Pennock ’04, a business professional with 15 years of experience in sales and customer relations, recently joined Marietta College as a Leadership Gift Officer in the Advancement Department.

“We are thrilled to have Mary as part of our gift team,” said Angela Anderson, Director of Advancement. “Her energy and experience working with volunteers will benefit The Marietta Fund and reunion programs.”

Pennock started her new position at the College on Sept. 4. Anderson said she is charged with Marietta Fund leadership gifts with a special focus on reunion giving.

Since 2004, Pennock has volunteered for a number of organizations in and around her hometown of Beverly, Ohio. She is currently the secretary for the Fort Frye Athletic Boosters and a member of the Board of Directors for the Battle at the Fort, LLC. With both organizations, Pennock has played an integral role with fundraising.

Pennock also served as a City Council member for the Village of Beverly from 2006-10.

She also gained valuable experience in the corporate world while holding down a number of different jobs for Discover Financial Services.
