Education Department hosting Fall Reading Club beginning Sept. 6

Marietta College's Education Department is offering a 13-week after-school reading program for children in kindergarten through fourth grade from Sept. 6 through Dec. 1.

The Fall Reading Club is designed to motivate students with fun and interesting reading and writing activities. All students are pre-assessed to determine appropriate activities to allow them to develop reading and writing skills and increase interest in reading.

The Reading Club is held from 4 to 5:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday after from Sept. 6 until Dec. 1. Supervised activities will be available for children who need to arrive at 3:30 p.m.

Tuition for the 13-week program is $100 for the first child in a family and $50 for each additional child. Tuition scholarships are available to families who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program or who have financial need.
