Education professor chosen to present findings to state education board

Dr. William Bauer, assistant professor and director of the Master of Arts in Education Program, has been selected by the Ohio Department of Education and the Special Education Professional Development Advisory Committee to present the results of his research on the Impact of Co-teaching in Ohio's Schools.

His presentation is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 3 in Columbus.

Bauer was the recipient of a grant from the State Superintendent Task Force on Special Education last year. He collected data from research hub sites located in Columbus, Cleveland and Marietta. The grant was also collaborative effort between The Ohio State University and Ursuline College.

Bauer's research will serve as a model for the Department of Education, Division of Special Education, in its quest to provide quality services for children with disabilities in the regular classroom.
