Marietta College’s March PioPitch program features an entrepreneurial family who has been in business for more than 100 years, and two students who are just beginning their business in the community.

On March 2, Bill and Janet Stacy of Stacy Family Farm, LLC, and Aaron Dillon ’17 (Windham, Connecticut) and Jon Hinson ’17 (Rocky River, Ohio) of Thunder Resources, will make presentations and take questions from the audience from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Timothy O. Cooper Auditorium in Thomas Hall.

Since 1899 and over five generations, Stacy Family Farm has served the local community in a variety of ways, including dairy, truck farming and in-season U-pick strawberries. After expanding into the Reno area of Marietta in 2012, the organization seeks to partner with the community and offer year-round education opportunities for children.

Dillon and Hinson started Thunder Resources in 2016 after winning $10,000 as part of the Marietta College PioBiz business plan competition. The senior Petroleum Engineering students are excited to share more about their successful first year.

PioPitch is free and open to the public. For more information or if you want to request to present go to www.marietta.edu/piopitch or contact Julie Harding at jch005@marietta.edu.
