Marietta alumnus named new Advancement Associate

Timothy Binegar '00, who recently served as the Director/Senior Consultant at Chyten Educational Services in Lexington, Mass., has been hired as an Advancement Associate at Marietta College.

Binegar is returning to Marietta, where he previously worked as an Admission Counselor from 2002-04 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Marietta, Binegar looks forward to being part of the advancement team.

"As an institution of higher learning since 1797, my goal is to ensure that Marietta College remains one of the preeminent liberal arts colleges in the United States by fostering strong philanthropic commitments amongst the Marietta College community," he said. "From my experiences as a student to moving into the real world as a consultant in Boston, I have always known that Marietta College is a special place. My aim is to provide current and future Marietta students, faculty, and staff with the best possible resources."

Binegar, who also earned a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Boston University in 2001, resides in Marietta. He is the son of Tom and Barbara Binegar of Marietta. He is also 1996 graduate of Marietta High School.

He joins Marietta's Advancement team in the third year of the three-year $50 million Legacy Campaign.
