Marietta College adds 2008 graduate to Admission staff

Joshua Thrash '08, who worked for four years as a student employee in the Office of Admission, was recently hired as an admission counselor at Marietta College.

Thrash, a 2004 Marietta High School graduate, completed a Bachelor of Arts in History from Marietta College. During his time as a student he worked in admission as a tour guide, counselor assistant and senior interviewer.

"Josh has been a great representative for Marietta College having served as a student tour guide and as a Senior Interviewer," said Jason Turley, Director of Admission. "His passion for Marietta College and his outgoing personality have made him a great addition to the Admission staff."

Thrash said his recent graduation brings excitement into his new position as admission counselor. "I love what I do, and I am proud to represent Marietta College in the Office of Admission," Thrash said. "My goal is to show future students how great it is to be part of the long blue line."

Thrash will be working with students from southern and western Ohio. He is part of an admission team that are currently recruiting the freshmen class for 2009.
