Marietta College announces 2006 New Student Orientation leaders

Marietta College's Office of Student Life is pleased to announce that they have chosen 18 students to be New Student Orientation Leaders this fall.

The program is a weeklong orientation for all new students the first week of arrival and continues with the First Year Seminar and Lab. Orientation is scheduled for Aug. 17-20. The orientation leaders will help assist the new students in making a successful transition from high school to college.

Some matters discussed during orientation are math placement testing, academic advising and course selection, campus tour, classroom expectations, and much more.

Erin Carlin - junior advertising and public relations major from Natrona Heights, Pa.

Ami Casis - senior biology major from Nacogdoches, Texas

Lee Ann Davis - junior radio-T.V. major from Stockport, Ohio

Ashley Deas - senior graphic design major from Berlin Center, Ohio

Grant Deken - sophomore political science and economics major from Ashland, Ohio

Jessica Diaz - senior management from Andover, Ohio

Katie Dickson - sophomore from Lowell, Ohio

Tricia Donovan - junior organizational communications major from Painesville, Ohio

Hannah Erb - junior petroleum engineering from Whipple, Ohio

Rachel Forman - senior psychology major from Heath, Ohio
