Marietta College names new VP of Enrollment Management

Dr. Jean Scott, president of Marietta College, announced that David J. Rhodes has accepted the position of Vice President for Enrollment at MC.

Most recently, Rhodes has served as Vice President for Enrollment at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga. His previous experience includes eight years as Vice President for Enrollment at Heidelberg College and 12 years in admission at Thiel College in Pennsylvania, the last three years of that time as Director of Admissions. Rhodes holds the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics from Thiel College and the Master of Business Administration from Heidelberg.

"David has been successful in increasing applicant pools, new student enrollment and the quality of incoming classes, and he is eager to take on the challenges and opportunities at Marietta College," Scott said.

Already communicating with the admission and financial aid offices to be brought up to date and to begin planning for the future, Rhodes officially began at Marietta on May 1.

Rhodes replaces Gary Craig, who left Marietta after a decade of service to become Cornish College's chief enrollment officer in April. Cornish is in Seattle, Wash.
