MC environmental science professor presents at two conferences
Dr. Eric Fitch, a member of the Biology and Environmental Science Department and Leadership Program faculties at Marietta College, made presentations at the Fall 2004 conferences of two national environmental associations.
Fitch spoke on the topic “History and the Future of Interstate Water Resource Compacts” at the American Water Resources Association Annual Water Resources Conference held Nov. 1-4 in Orlando, Fla. Fitch currently serves as the associate editor of the AWRA journal, “Water Resources IMPACT.”
Fitch also made a presentation at the 33rd annual North American Association for Environmental Education Conference held Nov. 5-11 in Biloxi, Miss. His presentation there was entitled “The Use of Humor in Environmental Education and Advocacy.”
Director of the Environmental Science Program at MC since 1997, Fitch holds membership in several national and international environmental associations as well as serving actively on boards and in organizations concerned with the environment in the Ohio Valley region. The immediate past president of the Ohio Environmental Council board, he remains a member of the board of that statewide organization.
