MC's Director of Career Center accepts appointment with NACE

Kathleen Powell, Director of Marietta College's Career Center, has accepted an appointment to the National Association of Colleges and Employers Future Directions Task Force.

"The College holds membership in this professional organization and is the driving force for the profession," Powell said. "We base our services, ethics and recruiting practices from this organization."

Powell has been active within the NACE in various areas since 1985. Among the assignments she has accepted include Chair of the Honors and Recognition Committee, At-Large Director on the Executive Board, Diversity Advancement Committee, and the MBA Group Planning Committee.

"As President-Elect of the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, I became active as a participant in the President's Round Table beginning in 1998," Powell said.

NACE was founded in 1956 and it is the leading source of information for career services practitioners on college campuses who advise students and alumni in career development and the employment process, and for human resources professionals who recruit and hire college graduates.
