President-elect Joseph Bruno to visit Marietta campus Jan. 18-19

Dr. Joseph W. Bruno will make his first visit to campus as Marietta College’s president-elect over two days next week.

Bruno, who will be Marietta’s 18th president effective July 1, will be joined by his wife, Diane, from Jan. 18-19.

Bruno will have a full schedule and many opportunities to interact with the Marietta College community. His schedule includes breakfast with faculty council and faculty chairs, lunch in Gilman Dining Hall with students and a tour of the President’s House.

He will also be introduced before the start of the men’s basketball game vs. Mount Union on Wednesday. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Ban Johnson Arena.

On Thursday, Bruno will meet with alumni representatives, the chair of the Board of Trustees and administrators and staff.

His complete schedule is posted on the President-elect website at www.marietta.edu/president-elect.

In addition to meeting with colleagues on campus, the President-elect will meet with members of the community as well.

The College’s Presidential Transition Team has worked with Dr. Bruno on this schedule and will continue to do so for future visits to campus. The transition team will also begin conversations with the President-elect on possible dates for his inauguration.
