Martin Espada

Martín Espada, Poet and Essayist

7:30 p.m. April 3, 2008, Great Room, Andrews Hall

Martín Espada has been called "the Latino poet of his generation" and the "Pablo Neruda of North American authors." Much of his writing arises from his Puerto Rican heritage and his work experiences, ranging from bouncer to tenant lawyer and has garnered him repeated recognition including the Paterson Award for Sustained Literary Achievement.

Don’t miss this evening of poetry readings and reflection.
