Etta Express voted No. 10 in first ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll of regular season
Marietta ranked second in the Mideast Region

MARIETTA, Ohio - The first American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball Division III Poll of the regular season was released this afternoon (Mar. 29). Marietta College was ranked second in the Mideast Region and dropped to No. 10 in the national poll after being voted No. 5 nationally in the pre-season poll.
Rowan (NJ), voted preseason No. 1, received all eight first place vote to remain No. 1 in the poll. The Profs are currently 13-0 on the spring. Chapman (CA) (20-4), Wisconsin-Whitewater (12-0), Wooster (13-3) and Trinity (11-1 ) round out the top five in the poll, which ranks the top eight in each region and top 30 overall.
No. 5 Wooster, who visit Pioneer Park on April 19, was voted atop the Mideast Region Poll. Marietta (13-3-1) was picked second, while Rose-Hulman (IN) (12-5), Franklin (IN) (9-3) and Ohio Wesleyan (12-4) were voted third through fifth.
The Etta Express will return to action Wednesday (Mar. 30) when they open Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play at Capital at 1 p.m. Marietta will then take on the Quakers in Wilmington Saturday at 1 p.m. The next poll will be released April 11th.
