Etta Express No. 11 in latest ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll
Marietta remains second in the Mideast Region

MARIETTA, Ohio - The second American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball Division III Poll of the regular season was released this afternoon (Apr. 11). Marietta College remained ranked second in the Mideast Region but dropped one spot to No. 11 in the national poll.
Wisconsin-Whitewater, the only unbeaten team remaining, jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 in the poll, while Rowan (NJ) (19-2) fell to No. 2 and Champan (CA) (23-6) dropped to No. 3. No. 4 Trinity (CT) (17-2) and No. 5 Wooster (18-5) switched spots this week in the poll, which ranks the top eight in each region and top 30 overall.
Wooster, who visits Pioneer Park on April 19, was voted atop the Mideast Region Poll for the second straight time. Marietta (18-4-1) remained second, while Manchester (IN) (17-6), Allegheny (PA) (13-5) and DePauw (IN) make up the new top five. OAC foe Otterbein (12-5), who comes to town Saturday (Apr. 23) was voted No. 6 in the region.
The Etta Express will return to action Tuesday (Apr. 12) when travel to Thurman Munson Stadium in Canton to take on Malone at 1 p.m. Marietta will then take on Ashland Thursday (Apr. 14) at home at 7 p.m. and then OAC rival Baldwin-Wallace Saturday (Apr. 16) in doubleheader at 1 p.m. in Berea.
