May 9, 2005
MARIETTA, Ohio - After a two week absence, the Marietta College baseball team is back in the national poll. The Etta Express, who enter Tuesday's regular season finale against Washington & Jefferson with a 29-8-1 record, were voted 14th in the latest ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll, released Monday (May 9).

Wisconsin-Whitewater (36-4) remained atop the poll for the second straight time, gaining all eight first place votes. Chapman (CA) (32-8) jumped from third to second in the poll, while Wooster, Cortland (NY) State (35-6-1) and Trinity (CT) (28-5) round out the top five in the poll, which ranks the top 30 Division III teams in the nation.

Rowan (NJ) (37-7), who stood atop the poll for much of the year, fell from a tie for first to eighth this week.
