Marietta's Eisenberg earns OAC Pitcher of the Week
Junior picks up two wins on Texas trip

MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College junior Mike Eisenberg (Coral Gables, Fla./Bullis) was announced Monday (Mar. 20) as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Pitcher of the Week, for the week of March 13-19.
Eisenberg, a right-hander, threw eight scoreless innings in Marietta's 3-0 victory over Friends (Kan.) on day one of its Spring Break trip to Abilene, Texas. He allowed just four hits, while fanning nine in the victory, his first of the season.
Eisenberg returned to the hill in Marietta's last day of the trip and threw a complete game one-hit shutout against Texas Wesleyan. The Pioneers won the game 5-0, and Eisenberg struck out six in the seven inning game.
For the season, Eisenberg has allowed just two runs (one earned) on eight hits and posed a 0.43 ERA in 21.0 innings of action. He has struck out 21, walked nine and opponents are hitting just .110 off him.
The Etta Express are slated to take on St. Vincent (Pa.) for their home opener Tuesday (Mar. 21). First pitch at Pioneer Park is 4 p.m. A junior varsity game is set for 1 p.m. |
