Cimino named OAC Hitter of the Week
Senior hit .480 with four home runs in seven games

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) office announced its Athletes of the Week Monday (April 6) afternoon for the period of March 30-April 5, and Marietta College senior third baseman/designated hitter Cameron Cimino (Boardman) was named the OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Cimino, a 2008 All-Region and All-OAC selection, batted .480 (12-for-25) with 10 runs scored and 13 RBI in seven games last week for the #14 Etta Express (14-6, 5-1 OAC). He hit four home runs on the week, including one in each game against Capital on Monday. Cimino then hit a pair of home runs and drove in five in a game against Franklin (Ind.) on Tuesday. The Pioneers broke a school record with seven home runs against the Grizzlies.

Marietta will look to continue its OAC success and regain sole possession of first place when it visits Mount Union College on Wednesday (April 8).
