Men's hoops tabbed eighth in OAC coaches' poll

TWINSBURG, Ohio - The Ohio Athletic Conference announced its preseason coaches' polls this afternoon (Nov. 3) following the 2004-05 Media Day Confernce Call. The Pioneer men's basketball team was picked eighth for the third year in a row.

Baldwin-Wallace (78 points) was selected first with seven first-place votes, just ahead of Otterbein (70 points).

The Pioneers, who return three starters and five letterwinners from last season's 10-16 (5-13 OAC) squad, totaled 21 points in the poll.

Marietta will open the 2004-05 season against Franklin (IN) at the North Central (IL) Tip-off Tournament (Nov. 19-20).
