Marietta's Creasap named OAC Player of the Week
Sophomore scored career-high 34 points in win over No. 8 Ohio Northern

Jan. 22, 2007
MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College sophomore guard Isaiah Creasap (Wooster/Northwestern) was awarded Ohio Athletic Conference's Player of the Week honors Monday (Jan. 22) evening in recognition of his performance during the Pioneers' last week of action.

Creasap, the OAC's top three-point artist, led Marietta to its biggest win in recent history, a 72-68 upset of then No. 8 ranked Ohio Northern Saturday (Jan. 20) afternoon on Fenton Court. He finished 11-of-15 overall, including 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. His 34 point-effort was a career-high and the most that a Pioneer has scored since Chad Sponseller went for 36 points at Baldwin-Wallace on Jan. 29, 2005.

In addition to leading the OAC with 55 three-point field goals, Creasap is currently ranked ninth in minutes played (30.7), tenth in three-point field goal percentage (.407) and 11th in scoring (13.9). His scoring output ranks best on the team.

Marietta (5-12, 1-9 OAC) will look to build upon the victory over the Polar Bears Wednesday (Jan. 24) at Otterbein. The Cardinals won the first meeting, 61-55, on December 6. The game will be carried live on WMOA-AM 1490 and online [http://pioneers.marietta.edu/onlinebroadcasts.html]. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
