Pioneer Navy ranked No. 26 in the preseason USRowing Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - Coach John Bancheri's Varsity Eight, fresh off a victory over rival Purdue, was voted 26th in the preseason USRowing Men's Varsity Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll, the organization announced Wednesday (Mar. 30).
Princeton (189) received two more votes than California (187) to put them atop the poll, which ranks the top 30 crews in the nation. Harvard (179) and Washington (179) were tied for third and Navy (158) came in fifth in the voting.
The Pioneer Navy will look to build upon the successful weekend, as its gets ready to host the 11th Annual Marietta Invitational Regatta, which will be held on the Muskingum River Sunday (Apr. 3).
Marietta will face off against two top 30 schools this weekend, as No. 20 Virginia and No. 30 Dowling come to town for the MC Invite. Action gets under way at 8 a.m.
