Apr. 6, 2005
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Marietta College men's crew team moved up one spot to No. 25 in the latest USRowing Poll, released Wednesday (Apr. 6).
Princeton and California remained in the top two spots in the Poll. Marietta received three votes, one place behind rival Purdue, who defeated Temple this past weekend in San Diego (CA).
The Pioneer Navy, who defeated then No. 20 Virginia and then No. 30 Dowling last Saturday (Apr. 2) at the 11th Annual Marietta Invitational, will have another opportunity to prove to the nation that it deserves recognition as one of the top crews in the country. Marietta travels to Washington DC Saturday (Apr. 9) for the 18th Annual George Washington Invitational on the Potomac River.
