Three petroleum engineering majors named Academic All-OAC in men's soccer
Bothner a unanimous selection; Hohmann and Tunnell also earn academic honors

TWINSBURG, Ohio - The Ohio Athletic Conference announced its 2004 men's soccer Academic All-OAC winners this morning (Nov. 17). Seniors Joe Bothner (Friendswood, TX) and Alex Hohmann (Louisville, KY/DuPont Manual), as well as junior Nick Tunnell (Parkersburg, WV/Parkersburg South) were all recognized with Academic All-OAC honors.
Bothner was the only unanimous choice to this year's team, which included ten players. The defender, who was also selected Academic All-OAC in 2003, carries a 3.65 GPA as a petroleum engineering major. He was a co-captain and the leader of the defense in 2004.
Hohmann, a senior defender, maintains a 3.35 GPA in petroleum engineering. He played in all 15 games, scoring a goal and one assist in 2004.
Tunnell holds a 3.82 GPA as a junior petroleum engineering major. The defender played in 10-of-15 games for the Pioneers, who finished the season with a 4-9-2 record overall, 1-7-1 in the OAC. |
