| Marietta's Recchia named first team All-OAC in men's soccer

TWINSBURG, Ohio - Marietta College soccer standout Carlos Recchia (Brazil) was chosen first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference by the league coaches, according to the OAC office, which released its 2005 men's special awards and All-OAC teams Thursday (Nov. 10).
Recchia finished his first season as part of the Navy Blue & White's men's soccer program with a team-highs in goals (12), assists (5) and points (29). The 12 goals and 29 points ranked third among all players in the OAC.
The forward had four multiple-goal games, including his first collegiate hat trick against Albright (Pa.) at the Penn State-Altoona Tournament on September 11.
Recchia is the first Pioneers since Marcos Vaca in 2002 to earn first team recognition by the OAC coaches.
Head coach Patrick Holguin and the Pioneers finished the year with a 7-10 overall record and went 2-7 in league play.
