Pioneers close out season with a 5-0 loss to Blue Streaks

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Marietta College men's soccer team fell 5-0 to host John Carroll University in its season finale Saturday (Oct. 28) night in a game that was hampered by high wind gusts complemented by snow flurries and rain drops.

The Pioneers (2-15, 0-9 OAC) managed just one shot in the game. The Blue Streaks (5-7-4, 5-2-2 OAC) had 16 (11 on goal) and scored four second half goals to break open a 1-0 game at the half.

Steve Hagenau (Clearwater, Fla./Central Catholic) had six saves in the match.

This concludes the season for Marietta.
