Marietta men fall 9-0 to host John Carroll
Pioneers are off until Monday when they visit Bethany

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team took to the road for its first away match of the 2009 season on Monday (March 23) afternoon, as it continued Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with a match-up against host John Carroll University.

The Blue Streaks (5-6, 2-0 OAC) swept the Pioneers (0-3, 0-2 OAC) in both doubles play and singles action to win the match 9-0.

Marietta's next match is slated for Monday (March 30) afternoon when the Pioneers visit Bethany (W.Va.) College for a non-conference battle. Action will begin at 3 p.m.

Sophomore Ryan Whitnable and the Pioneers fell to John Carroll on Monday afternoon.
