Otterbein tops Marietta men 8-1
Carpenter earns win at first singles

MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team fell 8-1 to visiting Otterbein College on Wednesday (April 1) afternoon at the Beren Tennis Center.
The Pioneers (1-4, 0-3 OAC) earned their lone point at first singles where sophomore Mike Carpenter (Parkersburg, W.Va.) defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-4.
The Cardinals (4-10, 2-0 OAC), however, won all three doubles points and the remaining five singles points to cruise to the victory.
Marietta is back in action on Tuesday (April 7) afternoon when the Pioneers play host to rival Muskingum College. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m.
