Mount Union defeats Marietta 9-0
Pioneers close out season with two road matches this weekend

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team began the final week of its season on Thursday (April 23) afternoon with a 9-0 loss to Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season champion Mount Union College.

The Purple Radiers (16-4, 8-0 OAC) dominated the match, as the Pioneers (1-9, 0-7 OAC) combined to score just five points in the loss.

Marietta is back in action on Saturday (April 25) when it visits Ohio Northern University at 1 p.m. The Pioneers will then close out the year at Wilmington on Sunday (April 26). That match will begin at 11 a.m.

Sophomore Mike Carpenter and the Pioneers fell to Mount Union 9-0.
