Marietta College to host 2006 M-Team Fall Kickoff
River City Volleyball Tournament and MC Soccer Classic highlight athletic's opening weekend on campus

MARIETTA, Ohio – Marietta College athletics will once again kickoff its fall sports season with three programs hosting opening weekend tournaments on campus Sept. 1-3.
The Pioneer volleyball team will welcome three other teams for the 16th annual River City Tournament, beginning Friday (Sept. 1) on Fenton Court. Action will conclude Saturday (Sept. 2) afternoon. Joining Marietta this year will be Ohio Dominican, Ohio Valley (W.Va.) and Rio Grande.
Marietta's men and women's soccer programs are also hosting four-team tournaments to open their seasons. The Pioneer women will welcome Juniata (Pa.), Mount Union and SUNY-Brockport this year, while the Marietta men will host Hiram, Juniata (Pa.) and Richard Stockton (N.J.). All of the action will be played on Marietta Field.
