Quintana named OAC Pitcher of the Week
Senior went 6-1 at Rebel Spring Games

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Marietta College senior pitcher Kristen Quintana (Denver, Colo./Littleton) earned her first accolade of the year Monday (March 19) afternoon, when the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced her as the Pitcher of the Week.

Quintana went 6-1 during Marietta's first week of the season at the Rebel Spring Games. In 42 innings, she allowed only five earned runs and tallied 66 strikeouts. Quintana broke the school’s career win record (41) and now has collected 45 in her career. She also matched the school’s single-game strikeout record with 15 during Pioneers' win over Rhode Island to start the year.

Marietta finished the week with a 9-1 record, matching last year's mark. It will open the northern part of its schedule Wednesday (March 21) when the Pioneers play host to Denison at 3:30 p.m.
