Marietta men fall at Otterbein 7-2
Rockhold improves to 3-1 at singles with three-set win

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team suffered its third straight defeat, all by a 7-2 decision, Tuesday (April 8) afternoon with a loss to Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) rival Otterbein College.

The loss drops the Pioneers' record to 1-7, 0-6 in league play. The Cardinals improved to 4-7, 2-2 in the OAC.

Senior Adam Rockhold (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls) continued his breakout season with a three-set victory at fifth singles. Rockhold, who improved to 3-1 on the year, won 0-6, 6-2, 10-7.

Earlier in the match, Rockhold teamed up with freshman Sam Vincent (Parkersburg, W.Va.) to remain undefeated as a team in third doubles. The tandem won its match 8-5, improving to 3-0.

Marietta is back in action on Saturday (April 12) afternoon when Baldwin-Wallace visits the Beren Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. OAC match.
