Pioneers fall to Falcons for second time this season
Marietta closes out the season on Saturday against Capital

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team continued its busy final week of the season with a 7-2 loss at Notre Dame College Thursday (April 17) afternoon. It was the second time this spring that the teams matched up with Notre Dame winning both meetings. The Pioneers fell to 1-11 overall, while the Falcons improved to 6-9.
Freshman Sam Vincent (Parkersburg, W.Va.) earned a point for Marietta at fifth singles, winning 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 16-14. Sophomore Andrew Bolton (Timonium, Md./Calvert Hall) also won his match at third singles, winning 3-6, 7-6 (10-2), 10-7. Both matches went to third-set pro-set tiebreakers.
Marietta closes out the season on Saturday (April 19) afternoon when Capital University visits the Beren Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) match.
