| Marietta men No. 42, women No. 45 in this week's USTFCCCA Division III Coaches Power Rankings
Pioneers compete on Saturday at Green & White Invitational

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) released its fourth NCAA Division III Coaches Power Rankings of the outdoor season on April 29, and Head Coach Derek Stanley's Marietta College men’s team (225.84 points) sat 42nd in the poll, while the Pioneer women (204.56 points) was voted No. 45.
Last week, Marietta's men were No. 53 with 219.73 points, while the women were No. 48 with 199.25 points.
Washington University (295.44 points) was atop the women's rankings, which included 66 schools that reported their marks. Augustana College (327.79 points) received the highest ranking in the men's division, which also listed 66 institutions.
No. 17 Ohio Northern University (288.74 points) was the only Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) school to crack the top 25 in the men's rankings. The women's rankings featured only No. 22 Otterbein College (242.87 points) in the top 25.
Marietta is back in action on Saturday (May 3) when the Pioneers participate in Ohio University's Green & White Invitational in Athens, Ohio. |
