Pallini named OAC Field Athlete of the Week
Senior swept throwing events at Marietta Open #1

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Marietta College senior thrower Brian Pallini (Medina) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Field Athlete of the Week on Monday (Jan. 19) afternoon.

Pallini swept the throwing events at the Marietta Open #1, which took place on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. He won the Weight Throw with a school record mark of 16.01m (52-06.50) and then took the Shot Put crown with a mark of 14.64m (48-00.50).

Marietta, whose women placed first and men took second at the meet, will be back in action on Saturday (Jan. 24) afternoon when the Pioneers host the Marietta Open #2. Action begins with the field events at 11 a.m. The running events will kick off at 12 p.m.
