Pioneer volleyball loses season finale to John Carroll

MARIETTA, Ohio - The Marietta College volleyball team closed out its season Saturday afternoon (Oct. 30) with a 3-0 (30-27, 30-25, 30-28) loss to John Carroll.

The Pioneers (8-21, 1-8 OAC) were led by senior Ashley Webster (West Chester/Ursuline Academy) with 10 kills and 16 digs. Webster, playing in her final game as a Pioneers, finishes her career second all-time in digs with 1,356.

Sophomore Ellen Doolittle (Louisville, KY/DuPont Manual) added 10 kills and five blocks in the match.

Freshman Jessica Craig (Uniontown/Lake) finished with 19 digs in the loss.

The loss prevents Marietta from earning a bid to the OAC Tournament, thus ending their season.
