Marietta Volleyball drops two at Otterbein Triangular

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Marietta College volleyball team traveled to Otterbein Saturday (Sept. 17) to participate in the Cardinal Triangular with guest Anderson (IN). The Lady Pioneers struggled all afternoon and returned home with two losses on the day.
Marietta (3-7, 0-1 OAC) took game one against the Ravens but ended up falling 28-30, 30-25, 30-25, 30-22. The match with Otterbein, which was a non conference affair, lasted just three games with the Cardinals coming out on top 30-12, 30-22, 30-17.
Junior Jaymi Stephens (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) finished with 27 kills, with 21 coming alongside 25 digs against Anderson.
Freshman Heather Faehnle (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) collected 50 assists against the Ravens and added 24 versus the Cardinals.
Sophomore libero Jessica Craig (Uniontown/Lake) finished with 16 digs in the loss to Otterbein.
Marietta will look to get back to its winning ways Tuesday (Sept. 20) when it travels to Pittsburgh, PA, to take on Carnegie Mellon at 7 p.m.
