Marietta falls to Carnegie Mellon 3-0 in volleyball

PITTSBURGH, PA - Head coach Tom Symons and his Marietta volleyball team dropped a non conference match with host Carnegie Mellon (PA) Tuesday (Sept. 20) evening.

The Lady Pioneers (3-8, 0-1 OAC), who fell for the fourth straight time this season, lost 30-16, 30-22, 30-22 against the Tartans.

Freshman setter Heather Faehnle (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) finished with 15 assists and 10 digs, while junior Paige Burton (Fairlawn/Akron Hoban) added 11 digs in the loss.

Marietta will return to action Saturday (Sept. 24) when it participates in the Wooster Triangular. The Pioneers will take on Kenyon at 1 p.m. and then battle Wooster at 3 p.m.
